James is Managing Director of Higgins Wood & Associates, and has been a principal in practice for more than 10 years. He commenced his professional career after being a small business owner, and having completed a double degree in accounting and IT.

James worked in tax practices in Wollongong and Melbourne, before owning a successful practice in the Dandenong region of Victoria. He has specialised in administration and strategies for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds for more than a decade, and has dealt extensively with small to medium businesses, and high net wealth clients. James is experienced in all areas of property investment, and advises a diversity of clients including professionals, farmers and business operators.

James’ interests outside of work include travel, reading and golf. He is married with a son attending university.
